The Toyota Belta, a four-door sedan with two generations (2006–present). Sold as the Toyota Yaris in North America, South America, Jamaica, the Middle East, Australia and South Africa. It is also offered as the Toyota Vios in Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore and the Philippines.
The Belta shares the same platform and drivetrain with the second-generation Vitz though the styling is only subtly related, in contrast to the Platz which was largely identical to the first-generation Vitz except for the body style. The Vitz was designed at Toyota's European design studios, while the Belta was designed at Toyota's Japanese design studios.
